Classical hornist and folk vocalist Mary Beth Orr makes her A2SF debut this summer! As an artist for Great Lakes Performing Artists Associates and a PARMA/Navona recording artist, she blends her chosen medium of classical solo horn with folk vocals inspired by the rich and soulful traditional melodies of her Appalachian heritage. Intent on bringing connection through music, she has performed with Detroit Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Detroit Opera, Pro Musica, and is currently tenured 3rd Horn of Grand Rapids Symphony. Her debut crossover fusion album, The Singing Horn, was awarded a Silver Prize for Outstanding Folk Album by the Global Music Awards.
