Be Part of the A2SF Family
Volunteering with A2SF is a rewarding way for individuals, friends, co-workers, and families to get involved. Help welcome guests, support zero-waste efforts, share information, collect donations, and take on other meaningful roles.
People of all abilities are encouraged to join. Along with a valuable behind-the-scenes experience, each completed shift earns access to insider perks like special hospitality areas and more.
Volunteer Roles
Welcome Team at Top of the Park
Welcome Team Volunteers (ages 14+) serve as the welcoming face of A2SF at festival entry points, creating a warm first impression and connecting guests with festival resources including event calendars, donation kiosks, and general information.
Zero Waste Champions
In 2018, we made a commitment to become a zero waste event. Zero Waste Champion Volunteers (ages 14+) extend A2SF’s sustainability efforts beyond designated zero waste stations by actively guiding guests in proper waste sorting and supporting the waste team in maintaining a clean site. This contributes to A2SF’s goal of a 90% waste diversion rate.
Donation Ambassadors
Donation Ambassador Volunteers (ages 14+) gather donations through warm, playful engagement with guests, directly supporting A2SF’s mission to keep live performances free and accessible. Roving donations are a meaningful contributor to A2SF’s onsite fundraising.
Survey Squad
Survey Squad volunteers (ages 16+) Implement A2SF’s annual patron satisfaction survey at Top of the Park, gathering data that informs programming, community engagement strategy, and grant reporting.
Merch Mavens
Merch Maven Volunteers (ages 14+) increase awareness of and foot traffic to A2SF’s merchandise offerings by roving Top of the Park grounds as a mobile, eye-catching display that extends the reach of the Merchandise Shop beyond its fixed location.
Ushers
Ushers (ages 18+) provide a valuable service to A2SF by helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons at ticketed performances. Responsibilities include greeting patrons, taking tickets, handing out programs, assisting patrons with finding their seats, and giving directions. Usher Volunteers must also commit to volunteer for an outdoor shift at Top of the Park.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
Group volunteering offers a rewarding experience in a lively, creative setting. Co-workers can bond, Girl and Boy Scouts can take part in a community activity while enjoying a night out, and fraternities and sororities play an important role in supporting a community tradition.
Wear company-branded attire or accessories to represent your organization. With new groups each night, it is a great opportunity to give back to the Washtenaw County community.
To sign up, choose your preferred volunteer role above and add your group’s names to your selected night.
