Volunteer Opportunities

Share Your Smiling Face

Volunteering for A2SF is a rich and rewarding experience that allows individuals, friends, co-workers, and families to participate by ushering, greeting guests, share information, collecting donations, and performing other helpful tasks.

People of all ages and abilities are welcome to volunteer. In addition to an invaluable behind-the-scenes festival experience, all volunteers are eligible with each completed shift to earn complimentary tickets to select ticketed performances and other insider perks, including special hospitality areas and more. You must be 14+ to volunteer with A2SF.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities for the 2025 season will open in the spring. Sign up for our enews to stay updated when the signup links go live.

Festival Footprint Initiative

In 2018, we made a commitment to become a zero waste event. Implementing new three-stream waste stations requires guidance from individuals like you. We need volunteers to guide patrons when tossing out their compost, recycling, and landfill items. Both individuals and teams are welcome!

Greeters At Top Of The Park

Greeters serve as the first line welcome for visitors entering the festival grounds. Responsibilities include answering questions, giving directions, distributing program guides, collecting patron donations, and most of all, making our guests feel welcome. Greeters typically work in pairs, so it’s a great opportunity to help the festival while making new friends or sharing the experience with old friends.

Team Volunteer Opportunities At Top Of The Park

We’re looking for groups to sign up as volunteer greeter teams at Top of the Park. Greeters play an essential role in the festival’s success by welcoming attendees, sharing performance information,  collecting on-site donations, and most importantly, being the first and last smile seen. We need you! With different organizations and social groups volunteering every night, this is a great opportunity for your organization to give back to the Washtenaw County community.

Each participating team will be assigned its own shift at Top of the Park Tuesdays through Sundays in-season. Teams volunteer in shifts from 5 to 7:30PM or 7:15 to 10PM. The festival goes until midnight – feel free to stay and enjoy!

Ushers

Ushers provide a valuable service to A2SF by helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons at ticketed performances. Responsibilities include greeting patrons, taking tickets, handing out programs, assisting patrons with finding their seats, and giving directions. Contact pinsak@a2sf.org for more information.

Beginning in May, enjoy the ease of volunteering on a flexible schedule in the weeks leading up to First Friday and throughout the duration of the festival. Contact info@a2sf.org to sign up!
