Detroit-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Marbrisa brings her Latin-infused jazzy folk to an A2SF stage this summer! A Detroit Music Award-winning artist, Marbrisa has studied music internationally from Spain, New Orleans, Cuba, and Mexico. She began performing music while living in Guatemala for three years, incorporating local musical traditions into her versatile style. Her music is rooted in Motown soul and further shaped by Latin and jazz influences, crafting her own unique sound. She is the founder of a women’s music event series called “Queens of the Song Age” and is the lead singer of Ann Arbor-based world music band, Jive Colossus.
