Detroit-based singer-songwriter Lorian Janine brings her soulful alternative pop to A2SF for the first time this summer. Her music combines emotional depth with ethereal melodies to capture the raw edges of love, loss, and self-discovery. Janine’s voice feels both intimate and expansive, adorning music that blends elements of indie folk, soul, R&B, and alternative pop. Anchored by vivid storytelling and honest lyricism, Janine’s songs are as relatable as they are personal. Janine’s musical journey began as a violinist in her elementary and high school years, transitioning to singing in her early twenties. As an Amplify Washtenaw recipient in 2022,  she introduced listeners to a sound both haunting and hopeful, soon gaining a devoted following drawn to her authenticity and sonic warmth. Honing her skills performing all across Wayne County and the Washtenaw area, Janine’s debut album is scheduled to release this year.
