Up-and-coming Detroit trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Jauron Perry makes his Top of the Park debut. Recognized with the ‘Next Generation of Talent’ award in Michigan Jazz Festival’s 2024 Rising Star Jazz Horn Competition, Perry has gained extensive experience working with legendary Detroit jazz musicians like Rodney Whitaker, Regina Carter, and Wendell Harrison. He has performed in orchestras sharing a stage alongside popular artists like The Commodores, T-Pain, and Shakira, and consistently plays across Michigan with his own band, the Jauron Perry Quintet, with whom he recorded his debut album live during their set at the 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival. His dynamic performance at A2SF this summer is sure to be a must-see set!
