Mucca Pazza

Genres: Circus Punk, Marching Band
A2SF is proud to welcome the genre-blending stylings of Mucca Pazza back this summer! This Chicago-based interdisciplinary instrumental music and performance ensemble was born in a steel mill parking lot along the Chicago River in 2004. The group quickly found a home for its 30-odd members in the thriving Chicago underground music scene, thanks to a truly exciting combination of marching band traditions, the spectacle of street theater, and rock and roll sensibilities. Their original compositions and unparalleled visual presence, eccentric and frenetic in equal measure, earned Mucca Pazza critical praise and a loyal local following. Since then, they’ve toured North America and performed everywhere from Lollapalooza to the Montreal Jazz Festival. Appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert further buoyed the energetic group, which has also licensed music to television shows like Weeds and Transparent. Their colorful exuberance and thrilling energy is not to be missed at Top of the Park!
