A2SF welcomes Isaac Castor, who honed his MC skills while growing up in Ann Arbor and hanging out at The Neutral Zone. That led to a series of live shows opening for hip-hop superstars like Mac Miller and Pusha-T, with a slew of hip-hop EPs/albums released under the Gameboi moniker from 2009-2013. Shifting to his given name, Castor continued to share compelling releases and joined forces with the hip-hop collective Middle Finger Music, spearheaded by Detroit producer Shane “Foul Mouth” Webb. That collaboration has resulted in two concept albums, 2020’s The Rabbit Hole (2020) and 2023’s The Rabbit Hole 2 (2023), that take listeners on a contemplative journey through Castor’s life experiences, from relationships to lessons learned. Both albums received extensive airplay on Eminem’s Sirius XM Radio station, Shade 45. In November of 2023, Castor released a new conceptual EP titled Algorithm & Blues with Detroit producer Omari “Hir-O” Hall, exploring the undesirable side effects of social media on the mental health of creatives. Check out Castor’s smooth flow and moody beats live on stage at Top of the Park.
