Founded in 2014 with a theatrical concept, Fangs and Twang has evolved into a genre-blending powerhouse that fuses gothic horror, cryptozoology, classic rock, Americana, and outlaw country into a high-energy live show. Their eclectic sound delivers both humor and substance, capturing audiences with songs that tell stories about Great Lakes mermaids battling ruthless pirates and Michigan icon Bob Seger meeting a lovesick abominable snowman. While their earlier records revel in mythical mayhem, their latest LP You Monster also confronts the real monsters among us: polarization, misinformation, and broken discourse. The album’s title track video earned ‘Best Animated Music Video’ at the 2024 Michigan Music Video Awards and they’re returning to the studio this year with new music on the way. In their world, the raw energy of rock ‘n’ roll meets the eerie charm of Transylvanian tombs while vampires commiserate with werewolves in a back-alley bar.
