Detroit audio alchemist Camilla Cantu brings her refreshing, Latin-infused alternative R&B to A2SF this summer. An ever-changing blend of punk-indie, acoustic singer-songwriter, and Latin soul, Cantu’s music pairs rhythmic guitar with electronic production and airy vocals to create original, mysterious, and alluring compositions. An accomplished young artist, she has toured nationally with Latin-Grammy awarded group Flor de Toloache and opened for internationally known Latin bands like Los Lobos and Las Cafeteras. Her love for music and energy curation inspired her to carve out an identity as a DJ, creating the alter ego TEAUXSWANX to DJ on weekends when she’s not performing with Mariachi Femenil Detroit, a woman-based Michigan mariachi ensemble she founded in 2016. Cantu’s sound honors both Motown and Latin diaspora, blending live instrumentation as well as electronically produced sounds to create colorful, nostalgic soundscapes that transport listeners to her creative state of mind. Her latest release is the EP Love & Lost, composed of five breezy yet  beguiling tracks. Sure to be equally dreamy, her set at Top of the Park is not to be missed!
